CCfV set up its training team at the end of 2006 recognising the demand for affordable, good quality training and accreditation for the Voluntary and Community Sector. The training is done in groups no bigger than 15 people and can be tailored to suit any organisation.

Using the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance Unit Award Scheme we can accredit just about any training from pre-entry level to level 3 (A level standard). This may be an induction process or specific learning that is needed by volunteers. This scheme is excellent value for money and extremely flexible.

We also offer accreditation for Volunteer Managers (paid and unpaid) through the Lantra Advanced Certificate in Volunteer Management. This is a Level 3 qualification that will help you assess and review current practices. This can be done either as distance learning with occasional group study support with others or we can arrange to deliver the training in five one day sessions in your organisation to assist you to complete the portfolio.

Not all of our training is accredited. Some courses are 'soft skills' such as team building (for full details see available courses). From mid-August we will also be offering First Aid training, initially this will be the one day Emergency First Aid and the two day Paediatric courses.

We aim to keep our training affordable for the Voluntary and Community Sector and offer the training exclusively to the VCS. Our prices start at *£100 + VAT for half a day. In certain circumstances we are able to offer free places on selected courses - contact us for details.
