do it logo

do-it was launched in 2001 with the first, and still the only, national database of volunteering opportunities in the UK.

do-it is part of the registered charity YouthNet .  We are non-profit-making and do not charge organisations to register their opportunities or people to use the database.

The majority of opportunities on do-it come from local Volunteer Centres in England. These organisations have been provided with hardware, software and training by do-it so that they can upload their vacancies onto the do-it database.

One of the main roles of the partnership is to produce Cornwall 's Community Strategy – a strategic document and opportunity for the public, private, voluntary and community sectors to work together in order to improve the quality of life for all people in Cornwall . It identifies priorities for action and it will act as a framework for other public service planning, influencing the delivery of a wide range of services such as housing, education, transport, crime prevention, economic development, culture and leisure.

Mindful Employer logo Led and supported by employers, the MINDFUL EMPLOYER® initiative is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health at work and providing support for businesses in recruiting and retaining staff.

Stress, depression and anxiety are the cause of more working days lost than any other work-related illness. Sick pay reduces profits. Covering absent workers adds more pressure. Loss of valued and talented people costs more than money. With the right support, people with mental health issues can and do stay in work. With the right support, you can continue to deliver your business
